Senior Project Engineer - Facilities & Utilities

Our client is seeking a Senior Utilities and Facilities Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This position is a 12-month rolling contract with a large pipeline of projects onsite. The role reports into the Facilities Manager onsite.

The Senior Facilities & Utilities Project Engineer is someone who thrives on solving problems, driving improvements, and bringing projects to life. This is a unique opportunity to support a key manufacturing site in County Mayo delivering facility, utility, infrastructure, and sustainability projects that directly support healthcare manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects across the site.
• Drive improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and external contractors to deliver successful outcomes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Support facility upgrades, expansions, maintenance programmes, and critical systems improvements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help shape future site capabilities.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within facilities, project engineering, utilities, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of facility systems such as HVAC, water, energy, or building services.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and deliver results
